Press Release Summary: WEALTHY MOGUL ABANDONS ALL TO BECOME HOMELESS
Press Release Body: (SEATTLE, WA)-Former CEO, president and owner of several Seattle-based firms, Gary Garner, has abandoned his material possessions and embarked on an incredible five-year global journey.
Garner, a vagabond for the twenty-first century and author of Through the Eyes of Madness, has been leading a life many only can dream of. With nothing more than his backpack, he has roamed each of the seven continents in search of a simpler way of living.
Losing the love of his life inspired him to make what some would call an insane commitment to freeing himself from material burden.
"I realized that all I'd worked so hard for was merely an illusion," said Garner. "And I finally understood that there was more to life than material belongings and financial success."
He adds, "My goal now is to provide the villages and communities I've visited with educational grants and other aid services. I want to help them raise happy and healthy families who will in turn, one day, be in a position to help other families in need."
To date, as a result of book sales, Garner has delivered funds to three continents, to assure that children will receive appropriate education, adequate school supplies and hot meals.
Garner does not say exactly how he "freed" himself, but his book does leave a trail of mysterious bread crumbs. Not only is the book detailed with true life-and-death adventures, but it also has an intriguing twist: Garner has a mysterious surprise waiting for anyone who can decipher the encrypted codes in his journals, which point to physical clues planted on each of the seven continents.
Though the book is laced with visual and mathematical codes, it is one of the easiest and most adventurous reads out there. However, it is also clear that there is a lot more below the surface of this book.
While on his global trek, Garner experienced: . Witnessing a brutal murder on the South China Sea . The wrath of an angry mob in the midst of a Nepalese civil war . His own near-death at the heights of Mt. Everest . Being ambushed and robbed in Costa Rica by very unusual suspects . Countless other harrowing escapes that illustrate valuable and moving life lessons
